Age 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones January 25, 2025. She was born September 21, 1946 in Lenore, WV, the daughter of Garland and Justine (Marshall) Workman.

Edith retired from the University of Michigan in June 2012 following 17 years of employment as a custodian. She was a parishioner of Ypsilanti Missionary Baptist Church. She loved watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies.

Edith is survived by her children Vickie (Stephen) Rushlow of Tecumseh, MI, Ronnie (Pam) Adams of Houstonville, KY, and Jeff (Dawn) Adams of Sumpter Township, MI; grandchildren Angela (Casey) Donley and their children Kaden and Kaleb Donley, Nicole (Stephen) Stump and their child Skylar Stump, Aaron (Erica) Rushlow and their children Alivia, Carter, AJ and Harper Rushlow, Kimberly Coleman, Matthew (Jen) Adams and their children Wyatt, Paislynn and Conor Adams, Alyssa (Zach) Richardson and their child Hudson Richardson, Tierra "T-T" Cox and her children Zayden and Zaryana, Dyllan "Bubby" Adams, Kyllie "Sissy" Adams, Brody Ellis, and Brentlee Farhat.

She was preceded in death by her lifelong soulmate and best friend Ronald Leo Adams, son Scott Hall, parents Garland and Justine Workman; sister Josephine Brumfield, and brothers Harry and Ervin Workman.

A funeral service will be held 12 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals. Pastor Joe Kennedy will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 11 am until time of service. Edith will be laid to rest in Soop Cemetery, Belleville.
