Age 82, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 in Northville, MI. He was born October 24, 1939 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Frederick and Clara (Helzerman) Lau.

Duane enjoyed collecting cars. He belonged to both the Crosley and Fairlane Clubs. He retired from Blackwell Ford in Plymouth, MI in 2001.

Duane is survived by Linda, his loving wife of 56 years, daughter Elaine (Thomas) Brady, and grandchildren Owen, Jack and Scarlett.

He was preceded in death by his son Keith Daniel Lau, brother Robert Lau and parents.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, January 7, 2022 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church ( 201 N. River Street, Ypsilanti ) with Pastor Alex Clark officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 am. Duane will be laid to rest at Soop-Pleasantview Cemetery in Van Buren Township, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
