Doris Clara (Lindemann) Miller, age 85, went home to be with God on June 9, 2026. Doris was born in Sumpter, MI, on March 17, 1941, to Henry W. and Clara (Bortz) Lindemann.

She attended Lincoln Consolidated Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 1959. After graduating, Doris went to work with her father at R & B Machine and Tool in Saline, MI. In 1979, Doris was hired at Eastern Michigan University, where she worked until retiring in 2009.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, June (Lindemann) Wanty; her brother, David Lindemann, and her niece, Carol Wanty.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Mike) Burns; her son, Eric Miller; three granddaughters, Cassidy Burns, Kelsey (Andrew) Chant, and Glenda Miller; great-grandson Karson Chant; and nieces and nephews, John, Betty, Paul, Randy, and Rachel.

Doris loved her family dearly and always gave unselfishly. She will be missed dearly.

Cremation has taken place.
