Dora Fay Wain, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2026 at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. She was born November 12, 1943, in Romulus, MI, the daughter of Delbert and Josephine (Cook) Butler.

Dora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. She enjoyed art and drawing, watching game shows, and was affectionately known as a proud "cat lady." She was also a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church in Belleville.

She is survived by her children, Leah Mann, Anthony Mann (Cheri Bondie), and Craig Mann; stepchildren, Donna Mann, Robert Wain Jr., Penny Wain, and Gloria Wain; sister, Carol (Dave) Johnson; brother, Delbert (Donna) Butler; grandchildren, Tonya (Dan) Hagerman, Mike (Nicole) Ahearn, Amy (Eugene) Brooks, Destiny Tussey (Steve Sprague), Angel (Matt) Durfee, and Dakota "Koty" Mann; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; six kitties and several grandpups.

Dora was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles "Chuck" Mann and Robert "Bob" Wain; siblings, Francis "Sonny" Butler, Elsie Crittenden, Betty Wain, and Fred Butler; stepchildren, Elizabeth Wawrzaszek, Kris Wain, Dawn Wain, and Scott Wain; and grandson Jason Grammatico.

Visitation will be held 3-8 pm Friday, May 29, 2026 at Stark Funeral Professionals. Funeral services will take place 11 am Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Lovejoy officiating. Visitation to begin at 10 am. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Huron Valley or plant and flower donations to help create a memorial garden honoring Dora's love of animals, nature, and the simple joys of life.
