Diane Marie Prater, age 76, of Ann Arbor, MI, passed away on May 19, 2026, at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. She was born on February 24, 1950, in Wyandotte, MI, to Thomas and Patricia (Albin) McGinty.

Diane worked in food service at the VA Hospital for many years, which she loved. She also enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Friday; children, Fred (Jamie) Prater and Heather (Rodney Bollar) Sheldon; grandchildren, Meghan Jarrett, Shane O'Neal, Alura Church, Tyler (Lindzy) Sheldon, Tallie Sheldon, Jordan Sheldon, Bradley (Brealynn) Bollar, Elizabeth Prater, and Zelda Prater; as well as many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Harold Prater; daughter, Roberta Jarrett; and her parents.

Per Diane's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
