Dean Alan Romanski
June 24, 1959 – June 17, 2025

Dean Alan Romanski, 65, of Gibraltar, MI—formerly of Sterling Heights and Fraser—passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at the home he built, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 24, 1959, Dean lived a life marked by quiet strength, steady hands, and a generous heart. He worked for 32 years at Ford Motor Company, where he took pride in his craft and contributed to the legacy of American industry. After retiring, he continued to serve his community by driving a school bus for Southgate Schools and Divine Child Schools, where his dependable presence and kind nature touched many lives.

On July 10, 2004, Dean married the love of his life, Connie, in the Philippines. Together, they raised their two beloved children and shared over two decades of love, partnership, and devotion.

Dean found joy in life's simple, meaningful moments—camping, fishing, biking, woodworking, restoring and working on cars, and machining with skill and care. More than anything, he cherished time with his family, friends, and dear dogs, Lulu and Lucy. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and sense of humor brought comfort and joy to all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Connie Romanski; his son, Daniel Romanski; and his daughter, Jennifer Romanski. He also leaves behind his precious dogs, Lulu and Lucy. Dean is lovingly remembered by his mother, Elaine Romanski; sister, Gale (Rick) Loftus; brothers, David (Christine Saad), Dennis, and Duane (Gina) Romanski; and mother-in-law, Lelia Dalumbar. He is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Dean was preceded in death by his father, Donald Romanski Sr.; his brother, Donald Romanski Jr.; his father-in-law, Moises Dalumbar; and his sister-in-law, Alice Dalumbar (Apao).

A viewing will take place from 4 to 9 pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Stanley Turowski Funeral Home (25509 W. Warren Street, Dearborn Heights). The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, June 23, 2025 at St. Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation (32477 Church Street, Rockwood). Dean will lie in state beginning at 10 am. He will be laid to rest at Gibraltar Cemetery.

Dean's legacy is one of love, craftsmanship, and quiet dedication. Though he has left this world, the life he built—both literally and figuratively—will continue to inspire and embrace those he held dear.
