Lancina, David John

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 64, went home to be with his beloved wife Sharron June 17, 2024 at his home. He was born November 29, 1959 in Taylor, MI, the son of John and Nancy (Sharp) Lancina. He married Sharron (Cartwright) Lancina December 1, 1979 in Ypsilanti, MI, and she preceded him in death.

David was an avid reader who enjoyed feeding and watching birds. He also loved watching sports of all kinds on the television. He retired from his role as a machinist at Moeller Manufacturing in Wixom, MI after a 30+ year career.

David is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Keith) Lancina, grandchildren Xavier Roberts and Armanti Cowan; sister Sue (Joe) Schembri, brother Jeff (Dina) Lancina, nephew Nick (Liz) Schembri, and many other family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents John and Nancy Lancina; son Eric Lancina and sister Lisanne Lancina.

A funeral service will be held 5 pm Friday, June 21, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). The family will receive friends at the funeral home 3 pm until time of service.
