David Willis Gower, age 65, passed away on March 23, 2026, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. David was born on September 4, 1960, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Nelson and Janet (Mosher) Gower.

David worked for many years in inside sales at Arrow Electronics, retiring in December of 2021. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the connections he made with those around him.

He was a proud member of the Ypsilanti Moose Lodge #782 and found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life. David loved traveling, spending time with his family, and taking care of his property. He also had a deep appreciation for music and was an enthusiastic supporter of University of Michigan sports—always cheering "Go Blue!"

David is survived by his loving spouse, Karla Gower; his children, Kyle (Talisha) Gower and Dayna (Quintin) Gower; and his cherished grandchildren, Karter, Mikailyn, Niles, and Maddox. He is also survived by his sisters, Robin and Donna; his nieces, Melissa (Brad) Burdette, Averie and, Ryleigh; his mother-in-law, Joy Roberts; and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James Nelson Gower; his father-in-law, Joel Roberts; and his brother-in-law, Scott Roberts.

Honoring his wishes, a simple cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .

David will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
