Daniel Wesley Lewis Sr., age 56, of Willis, MI, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, from complications of kidney failure and heart disease surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born in Ypsilanti, MI on June 5, 1966.

Danny Lewis Sr. was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. Even though he got on peoples' nerves he was still someone who was taken home too soon. His family and friends hope he his riding his dream Harley through the heavenly golden gates and having conversation with his Father. Danny Sr., everyone you left in this world hates that you are gone but we are happy that you are home free and painless. We will always love and miss you, until we can meet again.

Everyone that knew Danny Sr. knew he loved working on cars and hunting even more. He loved helping people fix their vehicles or motorcycles, but he loved the conversations they had even more.

Danny Sr. is survived by his mother Carolyn J. Lewis, son Daniel W. Lewis Jr., sister Jennifer L. Kellough (Larry J. Kellough Jr.), nephews Nolan G. Kellough and Ty J. Kellough; and other aunts, uncles, cousins and other assorted family and many caring friends.

Danny Sr. is preceded in death by his father Harry G. Lewis.

A funeral service will be held 7 pm April 13, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197). Pastor Gordon Moore will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4 pm until time of service.
