Clinton Bailey, Jr., 98, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Belleville, MI.

He was born on August 25, 1925 to Clinton Bailey, Sr. and Olivia Heard in Newnan, GA. He married his beloved wife, Ann, in 1946 and they raised 13 children. She preceded him in death on December 25, 1996.

Clinton migrated from Georgia to Detroit, MI as part of the Great Migration to work at General Motors. He retired from General Motors in 1984 after thirty years of employment. Clinton was a devoted father who enjoyed farming, fishing, and small engine repair.

He leaves to cherish his memory five sons, Hiawatha Bailey, Kenneth Bailey, Michael Bailey, Carl Bailey, and Christopher (Sarita) Bailey; three daughters, Vanessa (Daniel) Hamilton, Patricia Bailey, and Tonya Bailey; three sisters, Terry Bailey, Tracey Bailey, and Turusha Bailey; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to our brother Michael, Sidney Stewart, and Hospice of Ann Arbor for the unwavering care that was provided to our father during the last stages of his life.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, March 25, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Family hour will begin at 11 am. Clinton will be laid to rest in United Memorial Gardens, Superior Township.
