Clarence Eston Dunlap was born in Des Arc, Arkansas on November 24, 1946. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend. He passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Clarence was a man defined by love, loyalty, and quiet strength. A dedicated husband to Doris for almost 38 years, he built a life grounded in hard work and deep commitment to those he loved. He worked tirelessly to ensure his family had everything they needed. He was proudly retired from Ford Motor Company after 38 years of service.

Family was always at the center of Clarence's world. He found true joy in watching the boys play ball, cheering them on with pride. He was also the one who patiently taught most of his grandchildren how to swim—offering steady hands and encouragement as they learned to float, kick, and dive. Those memories, full of laughter and trust, are cherished by all who shared them with him. Clarence leaves behind a legacy of strength, generosity, and unwavering love.

He is survived by his wife Doris J. Dunlap, His sisters Linda Petty and Teresa Hensly Richard; Children Carl (Wanda) Dunlap, James Dunlap, (Nanette) Sampson, Rose (Charles) Gibson, William (Tiny) Sampson, and Alex Dunlap, Anthony Dunlap, 20 Grandchildren,31 Great-Grandchildren, 1-Great-Great Grandchild who will carry his memory forward with deep affection.

Clarence is preceeded in death by his parents Eston and Mary Dunlap, brother Manuel Dunlap, granddaughters Riley Sampson and Amelia Lockhart.

A celebration of Clarence's life will be held at a date to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by spending time with your loved ones—just as Clarence always did.
