Little, Clara O.

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 95, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township, MI. She was born May 8, 1926 in Pike County, KY, the daughter of Joe and Dona (Ousley) Owens.

Clara enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She was fond of sewing, once making a leisure suit for her son Garrell, clothes for his GI Joe, dresses for her grandchildren, doll clothes and many, many quilts. Clara found most the joy being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clara is survived by her son Garrell, grandchildren Larry II, Brett, Todd, Kevin, Michelle (Sid), Haley (Kaylee) and Austin; and great-grandchildren Larry III, Todd Jr. "TJ", Riley, Kevin, Jeffery, Hayden, Adriana, Liam and Greyson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Collier, son Larry and brothers Robert, Chester and Joe Thomas.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti) where the family will receive friends 11 am until time of service. Pastor John L. Vaprezsan of Metro Baptist Church, Belleville will officiate. Clara will be laid to rest at Union-Udell Cemetery in Ypsilanti.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .
