Charles Nelson Maskill

Charles "Chuck" Nelson Maskill, age 82, passed away on August 6, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1942, to Alfred and Amelia (Billadeau) Maskill.

On September 8, 1967, Chuck married Virginia "Ginny" (Masiak) Maskill in Royal Oak, MI, and together they shared nearly 58 years of love and partnership. Ginny survives him, along with their children: Robert Maskill, Michelle (Noble) Worsham, and Lou (Miriam Flagler) Maskill; and grandchildren: Alexandria, Madeline "Maddie," and Vayda. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Irwin, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and two brothers.

Chuck had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. He loved golfing, fishing, classic cars, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. In his younger years, he especially enjoyed camping trips. He took great pride in his yard and landscaping and found peace and happiness at the family lake house on Lake Summerset. Known for his quick wit and warm sense of humor, Chuck brought laughter and light wherever he went.

For over 30 years, he proudly served as a shot clock operator for Eastern Michigan University's men's and women's basketball programs. He was also a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Chuck worked for Delux Rental, a family business, for over 40 years

Per Chuck's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to EMU Athletics in honor of his long-standing support.
