Charles Ronald Mack, 88, of Ypsilanti died peacefully on December 19, 2024.

He was born in Detroit on November 22, 1936 to Sarah Rebecca (Schuder) and Hibbard Jewett Mack.

After graduating from Wyandotte's Roosevelt High School in 1954, he joined the U.S. Army for three years and was stationed in Korea. He later worked at Weber's Hotel in Ann Arbor where he enjoyed meeting people from all over the world.

Charles was a lover of books and the Bible. He lived in Ypsilanti for many years and had several friends. He was a kind gentleman and well-liked.

Preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, James, Thomas, Ethel, Donald, Robert, Margaret and Edith; he is survived by niece Rosemary Mack, and several other nieces and nephews.

Charles is also preceded in death by Mary Schwab, his friend, advocate and guardian for many years. His family is deeply grateful for her care. The family also wishes to thank Diana McKenzie, who continued caring for Charles after Mary's passing.

Inurnment will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
