Roberts, Charles Leon "Lee"

Age 81, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 in Saline, MI. He was born January 2, 1943 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Charles and Eleanor (Gates) Roberts.

Lee attended St. John's Catholic School through eighth grade and graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1962. The proud partner/owner of RGS Motorsports in Brooklyn, MI, Lee loved stock car racing and traveled far and wide to watch races. In his spare time, he enjoyed a good hand of euchre or a round of golf. Lee was a Navy veteran and 50-year member of the Saline American Legion.

Lee is survived by his sister Joyce Roberts of Ypsilanti and close friend of over 65 years, Robert "Bob" Scharf of Roanoke, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be held 1 pm Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
