Collins, Charles Paul

Age 75, passed away peacefully in his home Thursday, May 5, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 18, 1946 in Pikeville, KY, the son of Tobey and Tina Bertha (Runyan) Collins.

Charles worked for the automotive companies in a career that spanned over 40 years, first as a laborer and then a relief man. He married Carol Potter August 7, 1995 in Ann Arbor, MI and together they enjoyed 36 beautiful years. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed rabbit and coon hunting and raising his beloved hunting dogs.

Charles is survived by his wife Carol Collins, children Belinda Styron, Charles Dale Collins, Charly Marie Ableson, Wendy Martin, Ron Flaga and Thomas Flaga; siblings Nancy (Dennis) Dedrick, Charlotte Gayle (William) Creech, Carolyn McLaughlin, James Michael Collins, Randall (Carla) Collins, Tobey Dale Collins and Vivian Collins; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Michael Collins and sister Nancy Collins.

A private service will be held at Gulnare Free Will Baptist Church in Pikeville, KY at an undetermined date and time.
