Thacker, Cathy A.

Age 60, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. She was born May 28, 1963 in Charleston, WV, the daughter of Waldo Thacker and Mary Johnston.

Cathy enjoyed being outdoors, walking her dog and going to the beach. She loved reading and was a grill master. Above all, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and other family members.

Cathy is survived by her children Samantha (Shane) McClure, Trevor Thacker and Jailah (Erica) Allen; grandchildren Tyler, Kasey and Mason; mother Mary (Ken) Johnston, step-mother Vickie Thacker, siblings Terry Thacker, Lindsey Pepper, Aaron (Libbie) Thacker, Jeremy (Carlie) Thacker and Shannon (Chris) Fritz; her beloved dog Koda, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family in West Virginia whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father Waldo Thacker as well as her maternal grandparents Lonnie and Alice Harper and paternal grandparents Waldo Thacker Sr. and Virginia Thacker.

Visitation will be held 1-3 pm for immediate family and 3-9 pm for friends and family Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti).
