Branham, Carl Douglas

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 85, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. He was born November 20, 1938 in Emma, KY, the son of Richard and Edythe (Wiley) Branham. Carl married Marilyn R. Williams March 23, 1959 and she survives.

Carl resided in Olive Hill, KY and Ypsilanti, MI. He worked as a grounds crew leader for the Charter Township of Ypsilanti for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, golfing and woodworking. He loved working with his hands, mowing the grass and keeping his yard looking nice. He treasured time spent with his family.

In addition to his loving wife, Carl is survived by his children Richard Douglas (Debra) Branham, Tammie (Michael) King and Bobbi Jo (Doug) Ellison; grandchildren Jeremy Branham, Jason (Laura) Branham, Holly (Joseph) Bedtelyon, Christopher Branham, Haley (Joshua) Rains, Kyle Branham and Morgan Ellison; great-grandchildren Thandi Bedtelyon, Karlie Rains and Riley Bedtelyon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Barbara Allen and Mary Catherine Branham.

Viewing will be held 5-8 pm Friday, October 25, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). A funeral service will take place 1 pm Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Ypsilanti Missionary Baptist Church (7180 S. Huron River Drive, Ypsilanti) with visitation beginning at 12 pm. Carl will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
