Brian William Goss left this world peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of 82. Born March 3, 1942, to William and Elizabeth (Kidd) Goss in Ypsilanti, MI, where he was raised along with his 11 siblings.

In addition to his beloved wife Barbara, Brian is survived by his four children Colleen, Denise (Royce), Aaron (Ingrid), and Renee (Brian); 14 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.

Brian is preceded in death by his brother Buddy, daughter Renee, and grandson Jason.

A husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Brian's life was one of dedication, family, love, and community - a true testament to a long life well-lived. He leaves behind a legacy that will be forever cherished and continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.

At the center of Brian's life was his family, the source of his greatest happiness and pride. As a devoted husband, he shared over six decades of a marriage built on love, respect, and shared dreams, with his beloved wife and high school sweetheart. Together, raising four children, and nurturing them with his values of selflessness, hard work, and perseverance. Brian's role as a father was one he cherished deeply, taking immense pride in watching his children grow into compassionate and accomplished individuals. As a grandfather, he found boundless joy in the presence of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the absolute light of his life.

Beyond his family life, Brian pursued his career with great vigor, graduating from the electrical apprenticeship program in 1963, then joining the IBEW Local 252 in 1965 where he served on the Examining Board and as Trustee, as well as a Business Agent and JATC Training Director, before retiring as an Electrical Inspector from the University of Michigan in April of 2000.

He will be remembered not only for his achievements, support, and devotion but the profound impact he had on the lives of others, not to mention his Faith, waffle iron collection, nick-naming his grandchildren (and sometimes even their pancakes), and literally the tens of thousands of family photos he happily staged.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation .

A memorial service will be held 1 pm Saturday, December 28, 2024, preceded by visitation at 11 am at Stark Funeral Professionals, 101 S. Washington St., Ypsilanti.
