Wilber, Brent Charles

Imlay City, MI (Formerly of Ypsilanti, MI)

Age 68, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024 in Armada Township, MI. He was born September 9, 1956 in Ypsilanti, MI, the son of Jack H. and Ruth E. (Hebb) Wilber. He married Michelle Bloom June 5, 1982, and she survives.

After attending Detroit Engineering Institute, Brent had a successful career in HVAC, working for Jack H. Wilber Heating & Air Conditioning and later WHVACS, Inc. He taught his trade at Northwestern Technological Institute 2007-2021. In his free time, he enjoyed skiing and playing the piano. Brent loved vacations at Shelldrake and sailing on Lake Superior at Whitefish Point. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Kiwanis Club.

In addition to his beloved wife of 42 years, Brent is survived by his daughter Charnee (Wilber) Cartagena, granddaughter Arya Cartagena, and sister Julie Wilber (Sam Barr).

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Austin Wilber.

Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
