Bonnie J Powers (née O'Shaughnessey) passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on March 4, 1943, to John and Lucille (Dager) O'Shaughnessey in Fort Wayne, IN, she was raised along with her two sisters, JoAnn and Bobbie, and their brother, Dan.

In 1964, she married Don Powers, and moved to Michigan a few years later. It was there that her happiest memories were made as members of the St. Bede Parish. In addition to her siblings, Bonnie is survived by her three children: Tom, Steve (Colleen) and Marci (Bill) and her eight grandchildren: Caroline, Katherine, Margaret, Matthew, Mary, William, John and Rose.

Bonnie will be remembered for her love of chocolate and the Detroit sports teams, as well as being the embodiment of unconditional love, a mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for her family.

A private family memorial celebrating Bonnie's life will be held at a future time. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Gilbert Residence, 203 S. Huron St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
