Goble, Bonnie Sue

Ypsilanti, MI

Age 79, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. She was born March 11, 1945 in Prestonsburg, KY, the daughter of Buck and Anna (Ward) Hopson. She married Frank Goble November 28, 1962 and he survives.

Bonnie enjoyed preparing meals for her family and teaching her grandkids how to cook. Fried foods were her specialty. She was also an excellent baker and crafted many wedding cakes in her younger years. She loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her beloved husband of 62 years, Bonnie is survived by her children Kelly Goble and Lora Belcher; grandchildren Cody, Justin, Dylan, Krysta, Matthew and Brianna; great-grandchildren Reed, Matthew Jr., Sophia, Paislee, Gracelynn, Kyler, Ava, Ariel and Murphy; sister Joyce Daniels, and brothers Leo and Robert Hopson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Lance Michael, sister Gertrude Webb, and brothers Scott and Claude Hopson.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, February 7, 2025 at Ypsilanti Missionary Baptist Church (7180 S Huron River Dr, Ypsilanti). Pastor Joe Kennedy and Brother Walker Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends 3-8 pm Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Bonnie will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
