Watters, Billie Dean

Age 90, has made her forever after journey to be with those who have preceded her in death. She passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at her home with those she loved at her bedside. She was born January 26, 1933 in Matoon, IL, the daughter of Donald and Flossie (Donoho) Mains.

Billie was an Axillary member of the Ypsilanti Fraternal Order of Eagles (Past Madam President), American Legion, and Moose Lodge. She participated in numerous fundraising events to support local charities and raise money for multiple causes. Above all, Billie treasured spending time with the people she loved and cared about. You knew that she loved you and cared about you if, when you came to visit, she cooked you a meal or made you a plate of food to go.

Billie is survived by her children Randy Hatch, Jimmy Watters, Ronald (Loretta) Watters and Gary (Mary) Watters; siblings Ronald (Shirly) Mains, Donald (Sharon) Mains and Gerald (Inia) Mains; grandchildren Matthew Hatch, Chris Hatch, Jennifer Watters and Jenny Watters; great-grandchildren Breanna, Adam, Lexie, Jenna and Pheobe; great-great-grandson Adam Jr., and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald P. Watters, sister Donna Jean (Mains) Smith and dear companion/friend Billy W. Carter.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, May 26, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 10 am. Reverend Walker Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-8 pm Thursday, May 25, 2023. Billie will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Jackson, MI.
