Age 81, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 in Ann Arbor, MI. She was born January 5, 1941 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of William and Lula (Martin) Jackson.

Betty taught second grade for 30 years at Ford Elementary School in the Willow Run district in Ypsilanti. She married Pastor Keith Peters March 28, 1964 at Greenfield Church of Christ in Berkley, MI and together they enjoyed 52 loving years together prior to his passing in 2016.

Betty loved being a preacher's wife. She had so much faith and love in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In her free time, Betty enjoyed traveling, reading and visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also liked spending time with the many neighbor friends she made during her 48 years in the neighborhood.

She is survived by her son Jeffrey (Jan) of Grabill, IN; daughter Susan (Kirk) of Gibson City, IL; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, August 12, 2022 at Kenwood Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 10 am (20200 Merriman Road, Livonia). Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti. Contributions in her memory may be made to either the Great Lakes Christian College (6211 West Willow Highway, Lansing, MI 48917) or the Wolverine Christian Service Camp (3930 Flint River Road, Columbiaville, MI 48421).
