Bennie Roach left this world at the age of 82 on Thursday, June 9, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Bennie was born on November 16, 1939, in Madison, MS. After graduating from high school and while attending college, he met and married Ernestine Smith (d. 2022) in the summer of 1962 and they had five children to this union. He retired in 2004 from Hydramatic/General Motors after working for nearly 39 years.

He is survived by his children: Terrence Runnels, B. Lorenzo Roaché, Lovida Roach, Vanessa Roach, Daphne (Herbert) Copeland and Richard Roach. His grandchildren: Murjani Buckley, Yvonne Wilson, Terrance Runnels, Trent Runnels, Tyrone Runnels, Sharica Runnels, Michael Roach, Michelle Dennis, Mikalia Dennis, Ciante Roach, Richarra Roach, Richard L. Roach II, and Kaiden Roach. His great-grandchildren: Jada Buckley and Cortez Buckley. His siblings:  Otis Roach (Gladys), Elaine Slaughter (Steve), Lee Samuel Roach. His special friend, Theresa Copeland and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides his parents, John and Ethel Roach, he was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Turner, two sisters, O'Leatha Marie Roach and Jessie Mae Ivy, two brothers, Robert Roach and Charlie Roach, one son-in-law, Marcellus Dennis, and one grandson: Javon Roach.
