Becky Rea Brooks, 74, passed away peacefully in her home in Ann Arbor, MI on June 6, 2024. Born on May 9, 1950, in Clintwood, Virginia, Becky was the daughter of Jack and Marie (Stanley) Brooks.

In 1955, Becky and her family moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan. She worked as a Clerk for the United States Post Office, serving for 35 years before retiring in 2014.

Becky had a passion for reading and baking, and she loved animals, wildlife, and waterfalls. She loved music and attending concerts of her favorite artists. Becky also enjoyed going to the local theater to watch plays. She cherished spending time with her family most of all.

Becky is survived by her son Larry (Heather Sobbry) Cattel, brother Stan (Melody) Brooks, niece Julie (Darrin Makowski) Brooks, and nephews Scott Brooks and Cody Brooks.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents Jack Brooks and Marie Brooks.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, June 14, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals with viewing beginning at 10 am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-8 pm Thursday, June 13, 2024.
