Burchett, Barry Vernon

Age 80, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at his home. He was born December 2, 1943 in Allen, KY, the son of Dewey and Vena (Porter) Burchett.

Barry enjoyed fishing, working on his property and eating hobo dinners. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Barry is survived by his daughters Kimberly (Glenn) Kelly and Virginia (Ted) Marken; ex-wife Edna Samons, grandchildren Cory (Barbara), Barry, Jessica (Mike), Adriana, Gregory (Cheyenne) and Savannah; great-grandchildren Sadie Marie, Michael Wayne, Peyton Isabelle and Lee Allen; niece Carolyn, nephew Frank and many great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Francis and sister Virginia.

A funeral service will be held 12 pm Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). The family will receive friends 10 am until time of service. Cremation will follow.
