Age 85, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at his home. He was born February 16, 1936 in McAndrews, KY, the son of Ballard and Gertrude (Ball) Runyon Jr.

Ballard married Loretta Smith December 18, 1954 in Angola, IN, and she survives. He retired from General Motors Company in 1990. Ballard was an active member of Myrtle Lodge No. 89 and Free & Accepted Masons.

Ballard is survived by his wife Loretta Runyon, daughters Linda Caren (Charles) Runyon, Lisa Carol (James) Cole and Nicole Leanne (Shannon) Stanley; three grandchildren Meghann, Christopher and Matthew; and four great-grandchildren Jordan, Bradyn, Michael and Cory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bobby Joe Runyon and son Michael Bruce Runyon.

A funeral service will be held at Belfry Freewill Baptist Church in Belfry, KY in the near future. Ballard will be laid to rest at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Belfry.
