Audie C Reynolds Jr.

Audie, Age 83, passed away Wednesday evening, May 8, 2024, at Trinity Health – St Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ypsilanti, Michigan with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 7, 1940, in Williamson, Tennessee to Audie and Mary Reynolds. He married the love of his life, Rosemary Shelly in Jellico, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife Rosemary; two sons Audie (Annette) Reynolds, and Tim Shelly. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren,  seven great-great grandchildren as well as his sister Minnie Brown, several nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Stephens, his daughters, Tammy Reynolds, Ellen Humphery, Barbra Cusenza, his sons James, Wesley and Toby Shelly.

Audie worked for the Willow Run General Motors Plant in Ypsilanti, MI for over 34 years. He was a spot welder for the first 15 years, then held multiple UAW positions for his remaining years.

Some of his hobbies included working on automobiles, hunting, coin collecting and traveling. He enjoyed being a practical joker, watching old westerns, and spending time with family.

The funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Stark Funeral Professionals with viewing beginning at 10 am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4-8 pm Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Pastor John White will officiate. Audie will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
