Arwilda Swan Marks, affectionately known as "Bonay" was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Tima Marks on April 27, 1974.  Arwilda went to Ypsilanti schools and graduated in the class of 1993. Although Arwilda never married, she had a lifelong partner in Pepsi. She lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. Her Nieces and Nephews meant more to her than words can describe. She graduated from Washtenaw Community College with an associates degree. Arwilda worked as a team member at Chrysler Motor Company for a short period of time.

In her free time, Arwilda enjoyed exploring new places to shop and creating creative baskets with all the candy you could imagine for her Nieces and Nephews to enjoy.

Arwilda leaves to cherish her memory eight siblings; Brothers: Keith Marks Sr., Kirby (T'Neya) Easley, Mario Gillespie. Sisters: Tima Marks Jr., LaDon Gillespie, Margaret Gillespie, Shawntay Little, and Destiny Taylor. Uncles: Timothy (Cynthia) Marks, Russell (Colleen) Marks, Archie (Shanna) Evans, Lameo Dezombolis. Aunts: Cynthia McClendon, Sharon Coward, Cassandra (Joseph) Stines and Margaret Napier. and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

Arwilda is preceded in death by: Tima Marks Sr. (Mother), Arwilda Marks Sr. (Beloved Grandmother), Tim Marks (Grandfather), Ben McClendon (Uncle), along with two Nephews; Keandre Duff and Marquis Gillespie.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, August 11, 2023 at Stark Funeral Professionals (101 S. Washington Street, Ypsilanti). Family hour will begin at 10 am.
