Amanda Hope Litzinger, age 44, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 5, 1982, to the late James "Mike" Litzinger and Helen Egeler.

Amanda had a gentle spirit, a warm smile, and a heart that naturally drew people to her. She was known for her kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering optimism. No matter what life placed before her, she greeted others with grace, compassion, and the smile so many will always remember.

A lifelong lover of history, Amanda earned her master's degree in Historic Preservation from Eastern Michigan University, where she combined her passion for the past with a desire to preserve it for future generations. She was rarely without a book in her hands and found joy in reading, sailing, collecting teddy bears, and appreciating life's simple moments.

Above all else, Amanda loved her family. She never met a family gathering she didn't enjoy and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Whether it was a holiday celebration, sharing a meal, or simply being together, those moments filled her heart.

Her greatest joy was being Aunt Amanda. She adored her nephews, Justin and Anthony, and her niece, Isabel, and loved watching them grow into the remarkable young people they have become. She celebrated their accomplishments, treasured every visit, and never missed an opportunity to hug them. The love she had for them was unconditional, and they will forever carry the memory of an aunt who loved them beyond measure.

Amanda is survived by her loving mother, Helen Egeler; her sister, Caroline Litzinger (Domingo Uribe); her brother, Michael Litzinger; her nephews, Justin and Anthony; her niece, Isabel; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James Michael "Mike" Litzinger.

Visitation will be held from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Stark Funeral Professionals. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Metro Baptist Church in Belleville, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Evangelist Dan Martin will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Teddy Bear Brigade through Gleaning for the World in Amanda's memory, honoring her lifelong love of teddy bears and helping bring comfort to children in need.

Amanda will be remembered for her kind heart, her warm smile, her love of history, and the unwavering love she had for her family. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the lives she touched will continue to bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
