A Life Remembered

Alfornia Webster was born November 1, 1959, to the late Leaner C. Camper in Madison County Mississippi. Lovingly known to many as "Fonzie", Alfornia moved with his family to Ann Arbor, Michigan in July 1962. He departed this life at the age of 66 on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan surrounded by his family.

Alfornia professed his hope in Christ Jesus at the early age at the Second Baptist Church of Ann Arbor, Michigan under the pastorate of the late Reverend Emmett L. Green. He later joined the New Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Reverend C. L. Lewis II. Alfornia enjoyed worship services and choir music. He later affiliated with New Hope Baptist under the leadership of Reverend Rodrick Green.

He attended and received his education at Wines Elementary, Scarlett Junior High School, and Huron High School. He furthered his education at Washtenaw Community College and University of Phoenix. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He later relocated his family to Boco Raton, Florida where he spent 15 years working in various coastline occupations. Alfornia enjoyed the Florida coastline and islander life where he helped rebuild the community following damages from the tropical storms and hurricanes. After working years on the coastline he relocated to Michigan in 2020.

Alfornia leaves to cherish his legacy; His children: Ashley C. Webster, Jalen D. Webster and Jarid P. Webster. He also leaves to cherish 9 siblings: Robert (Cheryl) Webster, Mary (John) Philpot, Robie (Mary) Webster, Leaner Webster, Lillie (George) Granderson, John (Landis) Lewis, Walter Webster, Theadric Webster, Debra (Gregory) Dill, and a special niece who was like a little sister, LaTasha (Steven) Mitchell.

Alfornia has many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins. All loved him and will miss him tremendously. Alfornia had a gentle, quiet mannerism that touched the lives of many family members, friends, relatives, and loved ones. His soft voice, shy smile, compassion for others, and passion for life will always be remembered.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, December 22, 2025 at Stark Funeral Professionals with viewing beginning at 9 am. Alfornia will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti.
