April 18, 2024 Adam Dorian Anderson, in his favorite chair, peacefully went home to be with the Lord Jesus.

Adam was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan on May 12, 1951 to his parents, Adam and Ethel Lee Anderson.

Before retiring, Adam dedicated 39 years of his life working as an electronic technician at Chrysler Motor Company in Chelsea, MI.

Adam moved from Detroit to Fort Wayne, Indiana where he went to a skilled trade school. Upon completion and graduation from Rex Electronics he eventually settled in Ypsilanti, MI.

While out on a jog/run Adam was introduced to his wife Audrey of 45 years. They were married in Detroit, MI on August 4, 1978. They have two sons Adam Omar Anderson and Aaron Ahmed Anderson.

Adam loved life and there were many things that he enjoyed. Some of these things included watching a good movie, working with electronics especially building computers. He also practiced Tae Kwando under Master Edward Sell. There were also things he liked to collect like tools and hats.

He loved being Adam, a fun-loving man with an excellent sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He liked introducing himself as "Adam, like the first man" and appreciated a good strong handshake.

Family was so important to Adam and he loved to spend quality time with his family. He made sure they knew how much he loved and cared for them. Date nights with his wife, Audrey, were especially important.

Faith in God was extremely important to Adam. He worshiped his Lord and savior and was a faithful member of the Community Church of God. The Lord provided Adam with all the things that made his life so wonderful.

Adam was a gentle giant and a kind man We his family and friends find comfort in the fact that he passed away just as he had lived, peacefully.

His sons, Adam Omar (Heather) Anderson and Aaron (Tabatha) Anderson.

His grandchildren Arianna, Janaya, Josephine, Brennan, Ava, Braylen, Evelyn, Ariana, and Ayanna.

Great grandson Santana.

Nephews Mike (Dora), Patrick (Nicole), Julius Jr., Robert, and his favorite niece Tedesha.

A host of cousins and friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Adam Anderson. His brother Julius Anderson Sr. and Sister Antionette Tyus.

There will be a 10 am viewing prior to the 11am funeral service officiated by Reverend Portia L. Davis-Mann on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Community Church of God, located at 565 Jefferson St. Ypsilanti, MI 48197.
