Abe Edward Bell

Age 99, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 14, 2022 surrounded with his loving family by his side. He was born December 22, 1922 in Cypress, Alabama, the son of Eleanor Flannigan Bell and Winston Bell.

Abe worked at Ford Motor Company in Ypsilanti, Michigan where he became a member of UAW Local 849. From there he transferred to Ford Motor Company located in Plymouth, Michigan and became a member of UAW local 845 until retirement in 1985. He resided in Ypsilanti, Michigan for most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grands, great and great-great grandchildren. He possessed a huge heart and cared about others deeply. He was well respected and loved in the community and made an impressionable impact on all that knew him.

Survivors include: his children, William Bell, Alinda (Jerry) Clifton, Maurice Bell, Paula (Albert) Stephens, Brenda (Eric) Lewis and LaTanya (Donald Burch) Bell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his 10 siblings.

Visitation will be 11 am Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Stark Funeral Professionals. The funeral service will be 12 noon with burial taking place in United Memorial Gardens.
