Vicki Scott Harris, age 70, made her transition peacefully at home on October 4, 2026, with her husband by her side.
Vicki was born on August 27, 1956, in Flint, MI, to Henry & Gladys Laird Scott. As an only child, Vicki enjoyed studying, dancing, and traveling with her mother. She graduated from Flint Southwestern High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree and Certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan. She then earned a Master of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University.
Vicki met the love of her life, (Henry) Dwayne Harris, in 1971 at Metropolitan Baptist Church. They dated for seven years, then married on October 14, 1978. Two years later, their union resulted in the birth of their daughter, Erica Michelle. Another two years passed, and they proudly welcomed their son, Jason Dwayne.
Vicki was employed by the Ypsilanti School District. Throughout her tenure at New Horizons Special Education Elementary School, she committed herself to assisting children with physical therapy. In this role, she carefully customized her approach to accommodate each child's unique circumstances. She was proud that her efforts significantly enhanced their physical development and overall well-being.
Vicki was a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She was an active and devoted Soror of Delta Psi Omega (Ann Arbor, MI). Vicki was a member of the Community Church of God, where she cherished the opportunity to attend services whenever possible.
