Tyrone Booth, age 89, of Marion, KY, passed away on August 5, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY with his family by his side. He was born July 6, 1937 in Floyd County, KY, the son of Oscar and Margaret (Hall) Booth.

Tyrone was a proud member of Operating Engineers’ Local 324. He was a parishioner of Ambassadors for Christ Church in Marion, KY, for the past seven years. Prior to moving to KY, he was a faithful member of The House of Restoration for more than 40 years. Tyrone adored his family and loved spending as much time with them as possible. He also had a love for dancing and was known for being a great dancer. He never missed an opportunity to get out on the dance floor and enjoy himself.

Survivors include his sons, Dale Booth and Daniel Garrett, both of Marion, KY; brothers, Gene Booth, Shannon Booth, Howard Booth, and Bary Booth; sister, Pat Makuch; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Booth; his parents, Oscar and Margaret Booth; his son, Paul Garrett; four grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Stark Funeral Professionals, with visitation beginning at 11 am. Pastors Brad Farley and Kenny Downs will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti.
