Remembering Susan Pazzetti Branscom

May 17, 1940 – August 5, 2026

Susan Pazzetti Branscom was a woman of strong opinions, a quick wit, a sharp mind, and determination. She was also deeply loving, especially when it came to her family, and she cared fiercely about the people—and animals—who were part of her life.

Susan loved the ocean and the beach. She loved being at the shore, sharing happy moments with her family. She also loved music and was a very accomplished pianist. She had a natural ability and took pride in all she did. The same could be said of tennis, where she was a talented and competitive player.

She had an excellent eye for beauty and detail. Susan was a skilled cook and enjoyed creating good food for the people she cared about. She was also an exceptional decorator. She could look at a room and know what worked, what didn't, and what could make it better. She had a real talent for making a home feel personal, warm, and put together.

Susan also had a successful career in marketing, where her intelligence, creativity, and exceptional attention to detail served her well. She worked as both a product manager and a brand manager, using her organizational talents to approach projects with precision.

Susan was intelligent and funny, and she could be wonderfully witty. She had a sense of humor that was very much her own. She was also a fighter. Life presented her with its share of difficult moments, but giving up was not in her nature. She had a strong competitive streak and a winning spirit, and she continued to push forward through challenges that might have stopped others.

Her family was at the center of her life. She is survived by her three children, son-in-law, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her brother and sister, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and her nieces and nephews. Her pets were family, too, and they were an important part of the love and companionship in her life.

There will be many things her family will miss: her humor, her opinions, her stories, her cooking, her ability to make a room look just right, and simply having her here. They will also remember the more ordinary moments—the things that don't usually make it into an obituary but are often what people miss most when someone is gone.

She was a talented, funny, smart, strong-willed, and loving person who lived her life in her own way. Her family will remember all of it, and we will miss her very much.

She was 86 years old when she died on August 5, 2026. She leaves behind a family who loved her greatly, will continue to tell her stories, and remember her always.
