Prezell Charles Hall, age 77, passed away peacefully at 7:47 p.m. on August 21, 2026, at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan. He was born on June 9, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Joe E. Hall Sr. and Celestine (Ford) Hall.

Prezell proudly served in the United States Naval Reserve from June 27, 1968, to February 27, 1970, where he served as a fireman. During his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Following his military service, Prezell worked as a carpenter for many years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time at Northville Downs watching the horse races and trying his luck with scratch-off lottery tickets.

Prezell will be lovingly remembered by his child, Nivea Kiamonta “Kiki” Hall; grandson, Dayvionte Hall; and siblings, John (Carol) Hall, Barbara L. Hall, Goldie Gibson (Tim Hall), Sharon Brown, Kenneth Edward (Wanda) Hall, Ralph Hall, Angela Hall-Jones, Lawrence Hall, Shawna Hall, LaTina (Eric) Noland, and sister-in-law Jonnie Hall of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Elisa Hall; his parents, Joe E. Hall Sr. and Celestine Hall; brothers, Joe Hall Jr., Anthony Hall and Albert Hall; and brother-in-law, Thomas Jones.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 4-8 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Stark Funeral Professionals. Military honors will be performed at 4 pm. Prezell’s cremated remains will be inurned with his beloved wife Janet Elisa Hall at a later date at Obetz Cemetery in Obetz, Ohio.

Prezell will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
