Patricia Leighton, age 72, completed her work here on earth on September 30, 2026, leaving behind a better life for all those who were in her life.

Patricia approached life with a warm smile and an open heart. She loved gathering with family, friends, listening to 1960’s music, thrifting, crafting and traveling.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Thomas Leighton; her children, Michael (Susanna) Leighton and Lesley (Andrew) Hunt; and grandchildren Brianna, Alyssa, and Michael Jr. She is also survived by her mother, Laquita Hicks, her sisters, Denise (Bruce) Love and Charla (Wendell) Walker; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless friends who became family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 1:30 to 3:00 PM followed by the service at Stark Funeral Professionals in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation to Hospice Care of Michigan or a charity of your choosing in honor of Patricia’s beautiful life.
