Patricia K. Phillips, of Tecumseh, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, in Adrian, Michigan, just two days before her 78th birthday. She was born on August 19, 1948, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Clarence and Lela Henson Phillips.

Patricia graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1965. She worked at Beyer Hospital for many years before beginning a long career with Milan Ford Motor Company, where she proudly worked for 25 years before retiring.

Patricia found joy in the simple and special things that made life memorable. She loved old cars and enjoyed painting when she was younger. She treasured traveling with her siblings and spent many wonderful summers at a lake in Tennessee with her children and, later, her grandchildren. She had a deep and lifelong love of dogs, rarely being without one or two faithful companions by her side. Her special canine companion, Patch, held a particularly cherished place in her heart.

Above all, Patricia will be remembered for the woman she was: kind, graceful, loving, and genuine. She was, in every sense of the word, a true “Lady”—the sweetest, classiest Lady this world has ever known. Her warmth, quiet strength, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lela Henson Phillips; her siblings, John Phillips, Clydene Parsons, and Gladys Schwartzenburger; and a special niece, Wanda Stickler.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory and join her some day her daughter, Paulette (Rod) Carpenter; her son, Paul Santure Jr.; grandchildren, Benjamin (Terri) Parsons, Kristyn (Brandon) Parsons, and Brianna (Jacob) Silvernail; great-grandchildren, Emily, Gabe, Caleb, Dominic, and Jayden; foster great-grandson Nick; and a special daughter of her heart, Lynnette Vollink. She also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as her faithful canine companion, Patch.

Her family will gather privately to celebrate her life before her burial at Highland Cemetery in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to Hospice of Lenawee in Adrian, Michigan.

Patricia’s life was a gift to those who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created, the love she gave, and the grace with which she lived will remain forever.
