Mella Irvin, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2026, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian, MI. Mella was born on September 13, 1943, in Virgie, KY, to Wessie Branham and Dollie Little.

Mella worked for General Motors Company as an auto worker for 32 years. Throughout her life, she lived in Ypsilanti, MI, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Willis, MI, and Britton, MI.

Mella attended Victorious Life Church of God in Ypsilanti. She enjoyed visiting with family and playing bingo.

She is survived by her son, Earl (Michelle) Hicks; daughter, Amanda Case; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest son, Robert “Eugene” Reynolds.

A funeral service will be held 6 pm Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 5 pm. Cremation will follow.
