Linda Faye Spencer, age 82, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 29, 2026, at her home. She was born on March 10, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Lindsey and Virginia (Chapman) Ferguson.

Linda graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1962. In 1981, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Michigan University.

Linda married David Spencer on September 22, 1962, at North Prospect Baptist Church. Together, they raised four children.

As her children grew older and became more self-sufficient, Linda decided to pursue a career in nursing. She enjoyed the challenges of the profession and meeting new people. After several years of declining health, she made the decision to step away from nursing and focus her time on family and friends.

Linda enjoyed gardening, crafting, scrapbooking, playing games and bargain shopping. She also loved listening to gospel music, studying the Bible and playing the piano.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her sister, and her father- and mother-in-law.

She is survived by her brother, David (Sheila) Ferguson; children, Terry (Janet) Spencer, Cindy (Lee) Huffman, Tony (Melissa) Spencer and Cheryl (Adam) Delisle; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Per Linda’s wishes, all services will be private and handled by Stark Funeral Professionals in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
