Leslie Mariah Lester, 46, made her transition on August 7, 2026 at U of M Ann Arbor. She was born to her mother Patricia Lester on February 23, 1980 at St Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor.

With a passion for caring for people, Leslie worked as an intake nurse at the Washtenaw County Jail.

Food was Leslie’s love language and having her family over for one of her culinary creations. She was also obsessed with purple, the color of royalty!

Left to cherish her memory are her children, TaMariah Ann Lester, Madison Nikole Lester-Jenkins and Aubrey Billingslea; siblings, Abrile K. Lester-Smith, Sesilee Langs (Leon), Darrell Smith (Jasmine) and Cedric Smith (Nancy); closest niece, Skylar Morgon; aunts, Annie Bryant and Lillie Losh; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Lester; grandparents, Calvin Bryant (Viola), James Lester Jr. (Rose) and Darrell Smith Sr.; uncles, Richard Bryant, Calvin Bryant and William Losh.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Friday, August 21, 2026 at Stark Funeral Professionals with visitation beginning at 10 am.
