Jacqueline Sue Willett, a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026. She was born on October 3, 1951, at Beyer Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the cherished daughter of the late John A. Hewitt and Mona J. Rice (Hewitt).

For many years, Jacqueline dedicated herself to helping others through her work as a dependable and dedicated dispatcher with Michigan Bell Telephone Co. Her caring nature extended far beyond her career, as she was someone who found great fulfillment in looking after others.

Jacqueline’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother and sister who cherished the people she held close to her heart. Her legacy of love, kindness, and gentle spirit will live on through her surviving son, Charles William Sinkule IV; her brother, Jeff Hewitt of Adrian; and her sister, Sharon Hewitt of Washington. She is also remembered fondly by Charles William Sinkule III.

Jacqueline had a deep appreciation for the simple and beautiful things in life. She loved being outdoors, especially horseback riding through open trails and spending peaceful days fishing. She had a nurturing heart and found immense joy in caring for children. She also loved gardening and took pride in growing beautiful, vibrant flowers. Pink was her favorite color, a fitting reflection of the warmth and tenderness she brought into the lives of others.

One of Jacqueline’s most treasured memories was a trip to Africa in August 2007. Traveling to Africa had been the dream of her lifetime, and she made that dream a reality by traveling there on her own. It was an adventure she treasured deeply and one she talked about fondly for years afterward.

Jacqueline also shared a special bond with her beloved corgi, Joey, whom she loved dearly and cared for with great devotion. Her love for animals was another expression of the gentle and nurturing spirit that defined her.

Jacqueline’s warm heart, quiet strength, and gentle nature left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the dreams she pursued, and the simple joys that made her happy. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A celebration of Jacqueline’s life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Stark Funeral Professionals. Memorial gathering will begin at 11 am.
