Gladys J. Broughton, age 63, passed away on September 10, 2026, at her home in Ypsilanti, MI. She was born February 22, 1963 in Barbourville, KY, the daughter of Eugene and Pauline (Hubbard) Broughton.

Gladys was a hardworking and dedicated woman who was employed by Ford Motor Company for 20 years before retiring. Throughout her life, she made her home in Florida, Michigan, and Kentucky.

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life and, most importantly, in spending time with those she loved. She loved playing dice with her friends and family and enjoyed cooking for them as well. Her family meant the world to her, and she especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Gladys loved God with all her heart and soul. She also enjoyed sun tanning, spending time on her boat, dancing, and putting smiles on the faces of others. Her love, warmth, and joyful spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Gladys was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry Eugene Broughton and Ralph Broughton; sisters Barbara Ann Garrett, Eulondia Burleson, Tammy Kay Vasher, Sandra Lynn Paul, and Kimbery Rosa Booth; and her grandson Dominic Aaron Goble.

Gladys is survived by her sons Joshua Goble and Donald Aaron (Sarah) Goble; sister Paula Tyler; and grandchildren Joshua Goble, Brian Goble, Brielle Goble, Carter Allen, Nikki Bella Goble, Ellieanna Goble, Nikolai Goble, Kaden Hammond, and Destinee Goble.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon Saturday, October 17, 2026 at The Carpenter's House Church (2810 Packard Street, Ypsilanti).
