On Staff at Stark Funeral Service

Edward S. Ochalek
Ed graduated from Wayne State University with a B.S. in Business Administration, and has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1978. He became the co-owner of Ochalek-Stark Funeral Service in 1979 and co-owner of Stark Funeral Service in 1988. Ed is happily married to Mary Ochalek and has four children, Aaron, who is attending the United States Naval Academy, Kiel, who attends and swims for the University of Minnesota, Andrew and Michelle. Ed is active in many local organizations, including the Lions Club, Kiwanis, K of C, Civitan, Moose, and church. He also loves coaching baseball and girl’s basketball.

 

Mary M. Ochalek
Mary became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1979. She became co-owner of Ochalek-Stark Funeral Service in 1979 and co-owner of Stark Funeral Service in 1988. Mary is happily married to Ed and has four children. She is active in many local organizations, including Civitan, Rotary, church, and the Ann Arbor Rowing Club.

 

Bradley W. Stark
Bradley became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1983, and became co-owner of Stark Funeral Service in the same year, following in the family business. He became co-owner of Ochalek-Stark Funeral Service in 1988. Bradley is happily married to Mary, and has two children, Jonathan and Julie. He is active in many organizations including the Ypsilanti Jaycees, Eagles, Moose, and K of C.
   

Carol Blackburn
Carol is a Preneed Counselor, Aftercare Coordinator, and monument and marker salesperson for Stark Funeral Service. She lives with her husband Ray in Ypsilanti, and is the proud grandparent of two, Colin and Cade. Carol enjoys gardening, reading to children, writing poetry, spending time with her grandsons and rebuilding the engines of old cars.

Harold Britton
Harold is a funeral service provider for Stark Funeral Service. He was the previous owner of Condoh’s Hardware and lives in Ypsilanti with his wife, Marlene. Harold loves to golf, travels extensively and enjoys Lawrence Welk.

 

Terri Ferguson
Terri is the executive secretary for Stark Funeral Service. She lives with her husband Don in Milan, and she enjoys golf, bowling, gardening, and trivia.

 

Vernon Garrett
Vernon is a funeral service provider for Stark Funeral Service. He resides in Ypsilanti with his wife Judy, and is the proud grandfather of two, Adrah and Adreanna. Vernon loves the outdoors, especially his frequent visits to the Bluegrass State and other outdoor ventures.

 

Vickie Gee
Vickie is a funeral home attendant for Stark Funeral Service. She lives in Milan and is also a beautician and a school bus driver.

 

Russell Horning
Russell is a Licensed Funeral Director, Pre-need Counselor and monument and marker salesperson for Stark Funeral Service. Russell has worked in the funeral industry all of his adult life, and finds helping people very satisfying. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife Vanessa and their son Brendan.

Jerry Hubbard
Jerry is the chapel manager and organist for Stark Funeral Service. He has worked for Stark for almost 50 years, and additionally has been the church organist at Emmanuel Lutheran since 1954. Jerry and his wife Cora reside in Ypsilanti, and Jerry enjoys music, walking, reading and theater.

 

Marc Littleson
Marc is a Licensed Funeral Director and Certified Michigan Funeral Practitioner, and is a monument and marker salesman for Stark Funeral Service. Marc and his wife Michelle live in Belleville with their son Austin, and Marc enjoys weightlifting, golf, spending time with his family and cake decorating.

 

Delores Meingasner
Delores is a funeral home attendant for Stark Funeral Service. She is very active in the Immaculate Conception church in Milan, and enjoys babysitting her grandchildren and watching full-contact sports.

 

Ed Ransom
Ed Ransom has been a funeral attendant with Ochalek-Stark for over 20 years. He also works at Schultz Motors in Milan, MI. Ed has been married to Vina for over 50 years and is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. His hobbies include gardening and teaching polka dance lessons.

 

Don Ludwig
Don is a funeral attendant who works out of both funeral homes. Don and his wife Fran have 6 children who they very proud of. He is a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Don's hobbies include being a consultant on three Fortune 500 companies and playing high stakes black jack. Don has been with us for over 10 years.

 

David Ochalek
David is an all around worker, filing certificates, funeral home clean up, outside maintenance, car washer and office coffee drinker. David lives with Ed and Mary, their children and his wonderful dog "Rocky". David has a large collection of Superman and Batman paraphenalia.
